The countdown has begun, and Joliet, Illinois, the home of the well-known duo Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues of the "Blues Brothers", will be called Home for all singers and friends during the 2009 Serbian Singing Federation Choral Festival.

We, the SSS Mita Topalovich, are very excited and looking forward to being your hosts for this coming Festival. We are anxiously awaiting your arrival to join us May 22–24, 2009. We are already hard at work and under the direction of our two Wardens or Co-Chairpersons, for this glorious event, Alexandra Starčevich and Michelle Efatoski. Our small, but mighty, Mita group is ready and willing to take on the various tasks assigned to them by Alex and Michelle to assure you that your "Doin' Time in Joliet" is a weekend you won’t forget!

For everyone's ease and convenience we will be housing all the weekend festivities at our own St. George Serbian Social Center. We are very confident that our Center will be the ideal place for both the Festival Concerts on Saturday and Sunday, and also for socializing at the welcome dance Friday evening, Saturday evening dance, the banquet Sunday afternoon, and for our farewell get together on Sunday as well. Your jailhouse entertainment will be outstanding (see the list on the Orchestras page)! We also promise to provide all of you with some unforgettable meals for the weekend!
